About Us

Ilmek was founded in Ankara in 2019 by a group of researchers and software engineers working on natural language processing and computer vision. The name comes from the Turkish word ‘ilmek’: a single thread turned into a durable fabric through knots and loops. We see AI the same way: linking scattered data with models and processes so that it becomes a real part of the business.

Why Ilmek?

Many organisations succeed in AI pilots and then stall on the way to production. The reason is usually not the model but data preparation, integration, security review and user adoption. We own this chain end to end: our products are ready, and our consulting and integration team adapts to your systems.

Our engineering principles

• What isn’t measured can’t be improved: every project has a success metric, baseline and target written in advance.
• The data is yours: customer data is not used to train general models; in-country deployment and on-premise installation are offered.
• Explainability: answers come with sources and confidence scores.
• Human in the loop: for critical decisions the expert has the last word.
